The TACCLE AI MOOC, a Massive Open Online Course, specifically addresses the urgent need for VET educators to understand and integrate AI into their teaching. With the increasing influence of AI in various sectors, it’s crucial for VET teachers and trainers to prepare students for a rapidly evolving work landscape where AI plays a significant role. This course provides essential knowledge and builds confidence in integrating AI into VET, with the aim of transforming VET into an innovative and forward-looking field.

The course contains 69 lessons and 5 quizzes designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of AI, in particular its impact on employment and work tasks. It addresses the changes that AI will bring to existing jobs and the creation of new roles, which will require adjustments to vocational education and training content and methods. The MOOC focuses on the changing nature of jobs, the skills required for future work, and how AI can be used in VET, with examples ranging from gamification to the use of chatbots for career guidance. It guides educators in adapting to these changes and equips them to train students for future AI ecosystems.

The course is freely accessible without registration, supporting broad participation of educators. As part of the Erasmus+ funded project, it’s available in English, with translation support recommended for non-English speakers. The content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, which promotes open educational practices.
