Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Intelligence, Learning Technologies, Augmentation Perspective.

This article explores the augmentation perspective and hybrid intelligence in education, emphasising the potential of AI to augment rather than replace human capabilities. It discusses the need for a common language to foster dialogue among quadruple helix stakeholders (i.e., researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers) and introduces a detect-diagnose-act framework alongside a six-levels automation model to further conceptualise the role of AI in education.

Personal observation: This forward-looking approach encourages collaboration between educators, policymakers and technologists to optimise the synergy between humans and AI in learning environments
